This came out a while ago, and I have been playing it non stop since. If you grew up with FFVI (then FF3) this will be one of the best albums you'll listen to. They went to dozens of different artists for their take on various songs from the soundtrack...

As I've said before on other threads, I own the OST, piano OST, and orchestral mix... All bought spending way too much money at music shops in japan. Well this album has all of those styles plus more. Everything from chiptunes (with Mega Man sounds) to dubstep, to Nu-Age, to Mariachi (yes, mariachi), Jazz, hip Hop, Orchestral, to Ennio Morricone style spaghetti western, to lounge music, to an AMAZING 9 minute long rock opera track that sends chills down my spine each time I listen to it. Especially effective when you listen to the rock opera track that comes right before it. It's not as good, but they compliment each other perfectly.

I can't recommend this enough, especially if you have fond memories of the game and soundtrack. After all it's free, so definitely check it out.

Can't believe it's been almost 20 years...

I remember auto-leveling the characters in the river loop for days...

Not me, I didn't think about leveling or anything like that. I was completely captivated by the story and music. That one weekend, I'll never forget.

I always thought that was a terrible idea because you never got the good level bonuses from the good espers. I would always use Odin when I leveled.
