Well seeins how this first 4by meet was a rather fun success and it was brought to my attention I owe you guys a bbq event I was thinkin of hosting/organizing one.
The catch is if I do there cant be wafflers your in or you aint it'll be an overnighter and it'll be more difficult then what we just did.
One of my favorite destinations is the hotsprings way up the east side of Harrison (not the hotel). I dont camp at them as theres not alot of space and the spots can be taken up. I camp about 30kms away from them and then just cruise up whenever.
The road to where base camp is set up in no more difficult then the Elaho trip from there stockers not wanting to scratch skidplates and lower bumpers can carpool with the more prepared vehicles.

iirc you can make it up to clear creek with a stocker and some correct application of the skinny peddle without damage.

stock f150 will make it. the main fsr, harrison east, is graded regularly due to high logging traffic. at most she'll just need to go slow and pay attention for idiots.

havent been up clear creek for a long while but iirc, a stock 3rd gen 4runner can make it up no problem so i'd imagine with a bit of careful driving an f150 should make it too.

if you camp on that beach spot, you can go about knee deep towards the river. throw a spoon/spinner down stream towards the lake and slowly twitch it back in. should get some bites.

they got em in there by truck and hand. Some friends and me go up almost annually to do maint on them but we're not the only ones. One year we spent a fortune on nive flow control valves and new lines and went up a few months later and they were all gone. that was a piss off!

sloquet is where you wanna go if you want a more "natural" hot spring setting.

I'm not a fan of sloquet. Not deep enough and more importantyl its a tough hike in with a cooler of beer and a tougher hike out with a belly full of beer...... bein fat and out of shape might have something to do with that tho too.

I've told my friends about this place and there are some interest in changing locations. I've never been there before so directions would be great. Might head up week before to scout it out. But everything is still up in the air.

if its the 6-8th, me and the gf have dog obedience class in the morning of Saturday(its either everyone in the class shows up or they cancel the class for everyone that weekend), but if someone leaves a map as to how to get there, we should be able to go right after the class if its nice/not raining out. if its shit weather, we'll camp out in the bedroom :) make a fort, roast marshmellows over a candle and bring a small tv into the fort lol

I'm thinkin thanksgiving will be better too and it gives more time for people to plan ahead. Weather is still warmish then and usually not to rainy as well. I have a 14x14 shelter I bring too for kitchen/common area.

I just got back. It woulda been a cuddle fest for me and prolowtone but a couple of my other friends showed up and put a stop to that lol.

Was quite a fun trip. Was a little nervous at first to meet a new group but it worked out pretty good. Few people get to share a special moment of drunken men arguing over nude hot tubing while sharing some hot greasy wings. :D :chop:
