Not really.. the tabs work pretty well sorting between emails that actually matter to me and junk from like social media/online shopping.
I think there are ways to theme it/mod it so it looks like the old Gmail. Alternatively, you can always use a client as a replacement. (I have mailbird for windows and sparrow for mac)

Sorry I think the tab system is brilliant. Really is amazing how it takes all my newsletters, online adverts to my promotion tab so it doesn't bother me with my more important emails. I used to do something similar with labels but manually. This is like a godsend.
doesn't affect me, i never sign up for anything i don't want in my email anyways.

Didn't know there was a new look. I pretty much only check e-mail on my BlackBerry.

Meh. You'll complain about it now; you'll get used to it later.
Its like the YouTube layout/Facebook layout changes. People bitch about it then get used to it :lol

i like it and if anything gets filed under a tab you dont want you can just drag it to the tab you want it in

+1. Helps me filter out all the emails when I sign up for anything on campus :troll:

I like to be able to see all my e-mail at once and I dislike the new compose. It defaults to the bottom right.
