so, yea long story but i did some work for a guy who bought a crx and wanted an engine swap. in the end he owed me money, a body shop money, i think even evolution and a couple other shops. . . .

Then one day. . . after not hearing from him in a while this post pops up on vancouver civics:

Well seems as though he passed away, thats sad, feel bad. . .

So to my surprise when sunday we are all at the autocross event and he pulls up with his son in a red toyota celica to participate in the autocross. . . .

I found it to surprising / hillarious / shocking to say or do anything about it . . . .

not only that, he sent his son over to ask if he could borrow my compressor to fill his tires with air. . . .

Not suggesting that pretending you are dead is the correct solution to debt, my point was that the OP's summary makes it look like the guy reports in as dead, then is seen at an autocross with this son the next weekend when in actuality, it wasn't until 3 years later.

that must have been another car, the car that we worked on and he owed money for I swapped a B18a1 into that came out of a DA integra which his wife had leased and defaulted on the payments, so he couldn't insure it or sell it as there was a lien on the title. I kept the shell, and went to the dealer it was leased from and handed the guy $200 cash for the reggi and remove the lien and swapped another b18 in there and drove that car for 3 years haha.
