My OCZ vertex2 180gb finally RIP after 2.5yrs. The service centre offers me either to wait 4 weeks for the replacement to arrive or take the brand new Vector 128 right away.
It seems to be no brainer, but any reliability issue with the latest Ocz drive?

Never heard vector3...the model is VTR1-25sat3-128g
What so bad about it? If it is garbage I will just sell it for something else
Edit: I've just read so many negative feedback online, I will mostly sell it for something else

Sorry I was totally confused. I was thinking Vertex instead of Vector.
Vector is a good drive. Probably one of the best out there right now. Any negativity you hear about it is probably people mad at OCZ for their early Vertex drives which I was confused about.
I reviewed the Vector 256GB (http://www.hardcoreware.net/ocz-vector-review-256gb-ssd/) and it was really good where it mattered.

Yeah.. if you're looking to get a replacement, the Samsung EVO 840 is a very nice and reliable drive. Sandisk Extreme II is also very competitively priced at $75 at most places.

I have Samsung Pro 840 as primary drive...Vector as secondary gaming drive.
I guess the service center won't offer something better like the AMD R7 SSD or something.
I think OCZ has built themselves a reputation over many years as being substandard. It will take many years to erase that reputation. I wouldn't recommend OCZ to anyone. That includes their SSD, Power Supplies, and RAM. They even have poor vision, an example to that being their RevoDrive. The only reason they get publicity is they give away their products to reviewers.

Toshitba is a piece of shit, last time OCZ allowed us to pay extra to trade something better or other model, today they only let me trade with same model.

Looking to replace my OCZ Vertex 60gb ssd...
anyone have recommendation on something 120gb and higher? It's become sad when you can't install any games on the SSD because it's maxed out LOL

I have crucial m4 128gb, ocz vector 128gb and Sammy 840 pro 256gb as OS drive, so far I love the Sammy the most, user experience should be the same for average users, but I love there are a lot of information and support on google that you can take note.
