My God, do you know what this means?
That you can buy a GT-R from your Nissan dealer and it will be just as fast as an F1 car.

That doesn't even make any sense. A GTR is already as fast as an F1 car

About time Nissan got some outside help. The GTR is such a waste of space, hopefully they'll be able to turn it around.

Don't underestimate Nissan...
They're not like Hyundai and Kia...they do have decades of racing heritage.

But no winning track record.

The first GT-Rs were produced from 1969–1973. After a 16 year hiatus since the KPGC110 in 1972, the GT-R name was revived in 1989 with the Skyline R32. This car was nicknamed "Godzilla" by the Australian motoring publication Wheels in its July 1989 edition. The BNR32 (R32 GT-R) would end up winning 29 straight victories out of 29 races, in the Japanese motorsport. The GT-R proceeded to win the JGTC Group A series championship 4 years in a row, and also had success in the Australian Touring Car Championship winning from 1990–1992, until a regulation change excluded the GT-R in 1993.[1]
The "regulation" change they talk of was specifically introduced to eliminate the GTR. Just like LeMans did for the Mazda 787B.

This is actually what happened to Honda back in 1990s.
Their new oval engine got banned from F1.
This is what happened...
-Honda develops oval V4 for motorcycles
-Proves extreme durability at high rpm, shows intention to develop oval F1 engine
-FIA suddenly writes this rule "pistons must be round"
