I have been seeing these bugs around my carpet area, and Google search showed them as carpet beetles. I was wondering if anyone can verify, and what I can do to get rid of them.

Indeed, they are.

You can attempt any number of treatments, all of which require dedication, precision , and time.

-Vacuum the fuck out of everything thing including furniture, throw pillows, blankets, etc.
-Launder as many things as you can in HOT HOT HOT water.
-Remove all flowers and plants as they can live in them as well.
-Place sticky traps around to catch and monitor the infestation.
-Deploy insecticide.

You will need a day to do all the above...it is imperative that it is all done at the same time to avoid cross contamination. Yes, it is a pain in the ass, but it can be worth it.
