Shipping from Canada to Hong Kong?

Hello all,
I have a box of personal belongings that I need to be shipped from Canada to Hong Kong (mostly clothing and other personal items such as photos and whatnot). Does anybody have experience shipping big items internationally? I'm looking at Canada Post, FedEx, UPS and the lot but I just want some more potentially cheaper options.
TIA!

You may want to look at your airline's cargo options. How cheap it is? I don't know.

If you don't need it right away, use surface mail. Takes over 2 months but is the cheapest option

Unless you're shipping a huge amount, it is probably best to just go to Canada Post

cathay pacific has air freight too. all depends how bulky/precious the items are.
How big is the box?
You might find some company that specialize in small sea shipping (they basically fill pallet/container's empty spaces)
Check Chinese newspaper... there should be quite a few ads.
My friend used one of them to ship 18 large boxes (from u-haul I think) from Van to Shanghai... it was a few hundred bucks IIRC.

clothing is mostly used as shock absorbers LOL
the most important pieces are photos in frames and things with great sentimental value that I like to keep close to myself

I wouldn't use shipping companies for that kind of stuff.
Bring it with you on your carry on. Might not be able to fit a lot at once. But you'll be flying back and forth in the future anyways. Or even if it's in checked luggaged. Get your friends, families etc to help you out. Shouldn't be that hard to find a honger that flies back 3X a year. They usually have nothing to bring back on the YVR-HKG outbound leg anyways.
If you're near the Surrey/Langley border, give Pak Mail Langley a call

That's barely business class pricing buddy.
OP = Training for soon to be CX pilot.
If OP is CX employee... then flying F is must...
I thought they get like 90% discount on tickets (need to standby... but still)

you are not aware .
like already mentioned, usecanada post surface mail, which is ems. for example a box of cloths weighing 50lbs (depends on size of the box) is about 200. takes about 2months tho
