For the record, I am the one who removed the thread. I posted my reasons in the thread last night, but it seems not everyone got the email with my reply after I had closed and removed it.

I have gotten in contact with Kty, and since she is now in contact with his family she would rather this thread be removed.

Should the repayment scheme fall through, however, and she contacts me again this thread may be revived either as an active thread, or as a closed thread.
