Anyone watch this?

After looking for things to watch after Breaking Bad, a few people I knew were speaking highly of this show. So during the week after watching episodes of Walking Dead, Homeland, and SOA, I gave it a shot.

It was surprisingly entertaining. It's listed as a drama, but you can almost classify it as a comedy as well. I thought the variety of characters was great. You get thoughtful, crazy, dangerous, funny, stupid, mute, pervy, and serious characters all in one show.

And like all Netflix exclusives, you can horde all of the episodes in one go. I'm not one to wait, so this definitely helped it's cause.

Sure it's a fluffy take on prison life, but it still provided enough politics, racism, sex, and violence to keep me interested.

I love it, waiting for the next season. I hate/love how the season ended though, pretty sure she's going to max security now.

I watched this too, it was good. It got a little stale in the middle somewhere but I'll probably watch season 2.

Yes it was really good. Way too feminazi for me though. Just about every single man in the show is either directly responsible for each woman being in jail, or just an asshole or idiot in general. I can't recall if there is one intelligent or protagonist male in the show. There were only 1 or 2 female antagonists, and they were only that way because men caused them to be.

I first thought that as well, but..

Then she wouldn't be with "gen pop". I'm not sure how that would work given how they set up the show. Also regarding the ending, (spoilered because it's a fairly big spoiler for season 2)
Pennsatucky is signed on as a regular for the second season. In what capacity, I don't know. I suspect she's just beaten to within an inch of her life, and thus Piper sent to a second stint at the SHU.


To be honest I'm not sure why I spoilered that, but oh well.

Yeah I thought Season 2 was a lot better than Season 1. I liked the flashbacks, and there seemed to be less of an 'agenda' what I found a bit annoying in the first one.

I liked season 2 a lot more than season 1. If only because Chapman isn't as whiney. Also really tired of the whole Chapman/Vause thing... can we move on already please? The V/Red thing was a cool deviation from the normal stuff that happens on the show, shit got real!

Am I the only one that doesn't really like Boo's character?

Chapman is just an annoying dumb bitch this season. HOWEVER, I think this is merely a transition period. She is becoming a lot darker. I don't blame her. Alex is so manipulative it's scary.

Ending was so satisfying.

Yup they built up her frustration all season long, losing girls to others, losing the sex competition, and then not really being included in the family. It all built up until she turned heel

Finally finished the season. So much better than season 1. It was really nice to get away from Piper and more into the other girls. There's still a handful of back-stories to be awared on. Something to look forward to with next season.

Just finished season 5... something about it though, pretty much every single character was annoying and hateable, and it was hard to root for anyone. Except maybe Caputo as usual.
