Full disclosure, the cable with a plug connector pulled apart (cable from head unit to the camera is split in two out of the box to allow the cable to be fished from the rear to the front easier) when I was pulling the wire through the grommet from the hatch to the head liner. I put the connectors back together but I'm not sure if it works. The camera itself I'm sure is fine but you may need to solder or butt joint the cable back together if the plug connector doesn't work.
