: PSA: Operation Red Nose 2013

Between November 29 and December 31, 2013, the service will once again be available in the following B.C. communities:
Abbotsford/Mission
Burnaby
Chilliwack
Delta/Richmond
Kamloops
Langley/Surrey
Nanaimo
New Westminster
North Shore (North Vancouver & West Vancouver)
Prince George
Ridge Meadows (Maple Ridge & Pitt Meadows)
Tri-Cities (Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Port Moody and surrounding communities)
Williams Lake

How it works:

From November 29 to December 31, if you've been drinking or are too tired to drive home, call 1-877-604-NOSE and a team of three Operation Red Nose volunteers will help you get home safely. One volunteer will drive your vehicle, a second volunteer will navigate, and a third volunteer will follow in an escort vehicle to pick up the two volunteers once they drop you off. Donations to Operation Red Nose are gratefully accepted and help fund local youth sports and other not-for-profit organizations.

Hard to believe that Duncan and Victoria aren't participating in this given the number of young adults who party in Victoria and drive home north of the Malahat.

They rarely ever have road blocks or any police enforcement along the highway when I drive home (sober, obviously) after Royals games and those are mostly Friday and Saturday nights.

Yeah I was looking for rs one since for some reason I feel safer haha. Thanks for the info though :)

Yeah, too bad eb had to leave the country.
RS red nose helped me get home safe and sound last year new years eve.
and sorry impulseX and lsf for extending my scheduled time last year Xmas eve.

Too bad this ain't happening this year. I was actually looking forward to the ride more than anything lol.
