Hi Guys,
I just recently bought the new xbox one and I have my old Turtlebeach headphones. Problem is i lost the adapter that I can use to plug my line in into the optical out. Is there somewhere locally like FS or Bestbuy that I can purchase such an adapter or new cable?
Thanks
Manic!

Found this
3ft Optical Toslink to Mini Toslink M/M 5.0mm OD Molded Cable - Monoprice.com (http://www.monoprice.com/Product?c_id=102&cp_id=10229&cs_id=1022902&p_id=1556&seq=1&format=2)
Is that correct?

I would assume you could buy a converter for it. Can't find anything. Don't really want to spend big bucks on a brand new gaming headset.

I have the Turtle Beach X31. It was a little box that has a line in input with the other side have RCA's.

the wireless transmitter only takes 3.5mm jacks for both line in and aux port, so there is no way to convert an optical signal (digital) from the tv to the 3.5mm jack (analog) without getting an amp.

Thanks. I saw that page but it does really help me.
not thread jacking. It's just interesting. but that's a lot of connections just to add a headphone to your gaming system.

Old system my friend. I emailed Turtle Beach support and see what they have to say. Brand new these headphones were around $200 back in the day. Might have to get a new set for Xbox One.

That's analog, not optical. You need an analog output.. Do the new consoles even output analog audio?
Anyway, this is the cable you need (http://store.turtlebeach.com/x3x31stereoaudiorcasplittercable35mmmtorcam-6.aspx), or get it at amazon (http://www.amazon.com/Audio-Splitter-Turtle-Headset-Not-Specified/dp/B006G76RHG).
That is, if they even have RCA outputs. You might need to split it off the hdmi, or use the hdmi input on that box (hdmi carries an analog audio signal, IIRC)
^^
HDMI carries a digital signal.

Yes but I think they also carry an analog signal
I think it's how cheap monitors with HDMI input can have speakers, since I doubt they have analog converters built in. I'd have to check though
Edit: I'm wrong, these monitors must have PCM decoders which are cheap since it's not compressed
I was thinking it was like DVI which can carry a digital video signal as well as analog, for backwards compatibility and cheap devices

Yeah I'm pretty much screwed. Going to have to buy a new gaming set. FU Microsoft!

You can use an optical > analog converter (http://www.monoprice.com/Product?c_id=104&cp_id=10423&cs_id=1042302&p_id=6884&seq=1&format=2). It would be much cheaper than buying a whole new headset
^^
But the little box that he lost has the RF transmitter built into it. It won't work without the RF transmitter.

Oh I thought he lost the cable
If you lost the transmitter, you pretty much lost everything

Check your TV if it has a line out. If it does you can still use the head set if tho buy the missing box from Turtle Beach. If it does not you have to buy the box skinny pup posted and the one from Turtle Beach and use the S/PDIF output from the XBOX.

Nope didn't lose the RF Transmitter. I just couldn't use it on the xbox one because it only has a optical out. Thanks Skinnypup for the link. That will save me 200 bucks!
