No, not the one with Lucy Liu. : p
Does anyone here watch the BBC Sherlock with Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman?!
I loved this show. (Aside from the Hounds of Baskerville episode...) I'm eagerly awaiting January 1 for it's return. And the finale for season two was just.....blarghhh :fuuuuu:

I watched it after people raved about it for months... But I didn't like it at all. The mysteries are really dumb, and while Watson is OK, none of the other characters are interesting or likeable.

eagerly anticipating the return of the show too shame it won't be until Jan 1st there's going to be a sneak peek on christmas though

It's like watching a show from the 1970's, but in HD... except not a good show form the 1970's...

Perception and reception are subjective, so to each their own : )
Regardless, I love Benedict Cumberbatch. and British humour/dark humour... Blackadder and the like. : p
But I hear you. I had friends hype up The Wire, after a few episodes I wanted to call it quits. It was slow. It was not my cup of tea to say the least. But I have this incessant need to know what happens to a storyline, and I went through the entire series in 2 weeks. By far one of my favourite shows to date!!

I know! Three episodes per season is not enough!
But with the male leads becoming more and more popular in the industry, I don't see them finding time to film more episodes for Sherlock : (

I think I'm going to skip the teaser. I feel we've waited long enough, and that time alone has been a damn tease. haha. I'm sure the teaser will be good though!

Is it still 3 episodes this coming season?
How does it work? Once per week?

It could be the british humor. I can't think of any british shows I like, except Top Gear (although even that has been shitty the last 2-3 "series")

The second episode and third episodes will air on January 5th and January 12th, meaning that UK Sherlock fans will get two episodes in one week to make up for the two year wait.
source: BBC Confirms 'Sherlock' Season 3 UK Premiere Date & Releases Official Synopsis (http://screenrant.com/sherlock-season-3-premire-date-synopsis/)
January 1 for ep 1.
Of course these are all BBC dates : ) I think 3 episodes per season is not only habitual of the series, but a characteristic of it. As far as I've read, there doesn't seem to be more coming...someone correct me if I'm wrong??

haha. I think that's a safe deduction. You'd be hard pressed to find a British show you will like then...
side bar: I do recommend The Wire though. (not Brit tv. American). Seriously great tv.

It's a great show. Rewatched it a couple of time already. Each episode is precise and to the point. There are no useless extra details included. Each is a mini-movie in its own right. The mysteries are dumb? Seriously? You are certainly not a fan of Doyle's Sherlock either then. The script is clever incorporating the original stories with its own interpretation.
I find it much better than the majority of US shows which drag on and on. They are dreadful.

I use mediahint add-on for chrome. It's not in chrome playstore, you have to download it from their website but it works wonders for hulu as well as bbc iplayer.
Great ep, looking forward to the weeks to come :D

Rewatching it from torrent. Couldn't get the BBC iplayer to work so gay and the streams keep getting overloaded.
You know what's impressive? There's no ad!

Feels like a really lackluster episode to me. Kinda like "oh hey, he came back, lets get a story out of it". There's nothing mind-blowing or clever that Sherlock did.
The Guy Fawkes case feels like whatever man.

yeah i felt it was a bit weak too
glad for a new episode but meh
side note the new bbciplayer app for the ps3/ps4 is pretty sleek

Good episode tonight, though it felt more like a filler show more than anything. It's a shame, really, since there are so few episodes per season.
But better than nothing!

Episode 2 was slightly better than the first but series 3 as a whole has been a disappointing disaster so far. Very little cleverness and lots of soap opera dramas. There are no main antagonist just a bunch of scrubs.
They killed Moriarty (or did they?) but they couldn't back it up.

yeah im quite disappointed with this season they had 2 years to prepare and its as if they didn't do anything until the last minute and we get this -_-
yes ep2 was better than 1 but bleh

Nope 3 episodes. Last one this Sunday. Apparently the one who put John in the bonfire in episode 1 is the king of blackmail? Next episode is about him. They better deliver.

Yea and then youre wondering if youre watching benedict cumberbatch or ricky gervais.
I cant help but think they could make a cool show with all the modern adaptations of holmes' s cases that were only briefly mentioned. What a waste.

Last episode is definitely the highlight of this season. But that's not saying much. There are gazillions of holes in the plot, it feels like they're cutting corners.
Magnussen's death is really what the fuck. The short clip about the return of Moriarty is like throwing us a bone because the season has been so horribad. I'd say they pull this shit again next season and it's time for BBC to close their shop.

Just got back from seeing the "mid-season" episode, "The Abominable Bride", at Silver City Mission. Sooooo good, and so looking forward to Series 4! It's playing again at select theaters on Wednesday, and of course, it's easy to find on torrents. Was cool to watch on the big screen tho.
