Anyone interested in buying an annual gym pass with me for Vancouver Community Centres at a group rate? Post or pm if interested. Need at least 10 people. 300 for the year so around 25 a month that's tax incl. Pass includes swimming skating gym and discount on pitch and putt

I'm not sure if it makes a difference to some of you, but there are a few fitness centres that does not accept the OneCard (Hastings, Kerrisdale, Killarney and Sunset)

HKS is correct, those community centres do not accept it for their gyms, but the Onepass does work for Kerrisdale and Killarney Swimming pools. More info can be found on this link: http://vancouver.ca/files/cov/OneCard.pdf
Nvasion, can you find anyone else who might be interested?

A bunch of us just did this. Might be worth asking kakucaekz if you can be added to our existing group. We signed up at Renfrew. http://www.revscene.net/forums/688156-vancouver-community-center-discount-pass-2.html

Pass expires September 20th and I'm interested in doing the group thing again. Anyone else? Anyone know kakucaekz? He helped us out last year.

Hi. Lol. The cashier that helped us out last time has since moved to Kensington, but I don't work there so I can't ask her to pull strings. I will try to get my system training so I can do it myself. We just recently changed over to a more centralized system, and there are seminars on how it works, so I'm sure I can learn it pretty quick and help out whoever wants another pass again. We won't need 10, but I'm sure I can pull it off with 6 or 7 once I get my training done.

Finally got back in the office and forwarded myself the email.
TL;DR
Improving business and practices
Discontinued Bulk Discount July 28 2012
Practice was adopted by some sites to 10 customers
Not common industry practice
Does not reflect intended discount
Program was equal to Corporate Discount
Wasn't fair informal groups can get same discount to groups who had to apply
If you would like to form a group or organization you can fill out an application form.
If you want one please ask and I can have it forwarded to you.
ALSO. If you belong to one of the groups you can get the Corporate discount at 25% off

Bubble Tea Vancouver (Vancouver, BC) - Meetup (http://www.meetup.com/bubbletea/)
This is one of the groups listed on the Corporate discounts, try joining them. Looks easy enough.

We shouldn't need to pull strings ... we just need a solid list of 10 people. I've only seen five so far. "Can't be impromptu" just means that we need to submit the form ahead of time. The information is up on COV website (http://vancouver.ca/parks-recreation-culture/corporate-and-group-rates.aspx).

We filled in and submitted that form two years ago but I guess it didn't get approved

If enough numbers/interest appear, I can organize and submit. Given that today is the 19th, I expect that those from the last year may start appearing.

Will probably pick up a pass through the $50 promo, unless we are going through a group rate soon?

Only seeing six or so, plus people have probably started figuring out their own thing. May want to try again in January.
