So recently I switched from Telus to Shaw and it seemed to coincide with suddenly not being able to do certain things now.

I can't stream videos, I can't download torrents, and I can't use Hotspot Shield.

When I try to stream a video, I get the spinny wheel, then nothing happens. When I try to download a torrent, it opens utorrent and shows the file but nothing happens. When I try to turn on Hotspot Shield, it tries 3-4 times then gives up.

To make sure it wasn't a Java related issue for Streaming, I tethered my Nexus 5 to my laptop; both streaming and torrents were once again possible. Although Hotspot Shield still isn't.

Wondering if there are some kind of firewall restrictions, or maybe Shaw is interfering?

Everything was working before...what's going on?? Help is appreciated!!!

Check some router setting like qos. Just change it to the opposite of wht you have... Maybe you have a router based adblock like script?

Thanks...called Shaw and turns out my specs are all out of whack; they have to come by and check it out. First chance to come is Sunday next week though :(
