Helping a friend look for a car. Budget is $3,000.

Must have:
- Cheap to maintain (something along the lines of Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla, etc)
- Reasonable KMs
- Manual preferred but automatic is not out of the question
- No red cars
- Fairly stock but minor mods like intake is fine

Additional stuff that would be ideal:
- Recent maintenance done. Doesn't have to come with a binder full of service records but recent "major" items done like timing belt, water pump, clutch, etc.
- Accident free but if it wasn't a major collision then it will be looked at

Friend is not really a car person but ultimately it won't be my final say. Let me know what you have.
