T2 was definitely one of my fav movies. I rewatched it recently and was still amazed how great it held up after all these years.

I can see the Rock being a Terminator. That guy is huge lol xD but his face is less serious and scary compared to Arnold.

The original T2 score would have been dope. The only thing I don't like so far is Jai Courtney. I just can't take him seriously. I also can't help but think that the fact that Arnie is no longer the governator and now getting a divorce tells me that he needs the money. So why not revive his #1 money maker right?

So based on a video I saw on YouTube, it seems like the plot is set in an alternate universe; there's no continuity from the original franchise. Apparently a terminator is sent back even further to protect Sarah Conner as a child and she's been with this terminator ever since, resulting in Arnold looking old because the living tissue on terminators age. Albeit, this is the same T-800 from T2 and the same T-1000, just set in a different universe

so Arnold gets sent back in time to protect Sarah Connor (all the way back to when she was a kid) and his organic body ages, hence the white hair and older Arnold

and then he kills the T-800 Arnold from the original movie (The Terminator)

which totally changes the timeline as Kyle Reese will still be alive
and you see in the trailer that a T-1000?/2000 also gets sent back to 1984 to deal with the changed timeline...and the war with humans starts a lot sooner (John Connor may never be born either)

I found the film entertaining, not great like T2 or T1, better than T3 and Salvation. Arnold was pretty good in it, but then again I'm a pretty big Arnie fan. The thing I didn't like about the film was that it was PG13 and they made Arnold's terminator seem too human.
