the trip was a blast.

flew to vegas, rented a car, drove to our hotel in san antonio.
missed FP and Quali, did the tourist thing in san antonio instead. went to the alamo lol.
went to the race on sunday... getting to/from the track was a gongshow, but it was the first year after all. they had a fleet of buses shuttling people from the park near the congress building to the track.
after the race, walked around austin a bit, had dinner and then drove back to vegas lol.
stayed there for the better part of a week and then came home.
it was a great trip. i'd do it again but this time without the convertible mustang.. not meant to carry 4 people half way across the continent in one shot lol.
