Do they affect data throughput like WiFi Repeaters do? If my connection is 25 Mbps, will I be able to access all that speed with a Range Extender?

extenders and repeaters all the same and suck in general.
If you need to get wifi in a spot where the original signal can not reach I would suggest using powerline and setting up a wireless router there.

depending on how big the home is, powerline adapters suck too. with my powerline adapter i couldnt get more than 3mb/s download speed.

^depends on which units you have and how old the house is as well

I've been having wifi signal issues for a year or so now. I've purchased expensive routers, extenders, setup access points and this is what I've found:
Purchasing Apple's AirportExtreme Router improved my range issues and doubled my internet speeds. However, the PowerLines are working EXCELLENTLY. I have no problems with them and they're on the cheaper side of fixes.

How does a router magically double internet speeds is beyond me.. If this is true, ISP could put a ban on it because they would be loosing money :troll:
back on topic... my powerline works good.. but once in a while it looses connection and I need to unplug it and plug it back in...
Extenders are not bad because they require a hardwire connection. Meaning your 25mb is feeding it too. Repeaters are bad because they wirelessly connect to "boost" your signal... your best is half the speed on the repeater.
I personally do not like powerline.. it may cause noise on DSL connections in my experience. I always try to cat5 the second location and install a extender.
