I went to get my neck tattoo today but the parlor said that a neck tattoo is "too extreme" for a first tattoo and won't do it?!?!
WTF

Tattoo shops are just trying to save you from yourself. Most shops will deem the neck and hands to be too extreme for a first tattoo as it is quite hard to hide or cover up with clothing. It is not uncommon to be turned down as you were.
