FreakNight hours:
Friday, October 31st: 6pm-2am
Saturday, November 1st: 4pm-12am

As planning for this year's event began, we were faced with an unexpected obstacle. The NFL has a Seattle Seahawks home game scheduled on Sunday, Nov 2nd. Because the venue needs adequate time to clean and prepare for the game, WaMu Theater would not be available to stay open as late into Saturday night as usual. This left us with a decision: either move FreakNight to a new venue, or change the event hours and stay at the Wamu. After much wicked deliberation, we ultimately felt that the WaMu Theater has become the haunted home of The Northwest's Annual Halloween Ritual. To make sure not a moment of FreakNight frenzy is lost, we'll be opening 2 hours earlier on Saturday, November 1st to accommodate the earlier closing time. A FreakNight at WaMu Theater on Halloween night is ultimately an opportunity we just couldn't pass up, so a 2 hour time shift is something we're happy to do for the 12th Man!

Lineups as in to get inside the venue or DJ's there?

Last year there were 2 entrances to get inside the venue, was probably a 1 minute wait with ID check and body pat down etc

Festival lineup was amazing for me personally. The set times were perfect and i got to see every DJ without any conflicting set times:

The event overall was organized professionally. Easy to find the FREE water refill stations, washrooms, merch etc. It was hard to meet up with friends on the first day with the crappy phone reception but second day was much easier

Overall it was the best rave experience I've been to. The atmosphere and people there are so much more friendlier than the people here in Vancouver :lol The unlimited free water refills were awesome as well :fullofwin:

theres a private limo company that comes by at the front of the hotel and they charge $12 to get to wamu. Limo fits up to 4 people

Ask for their company card and when freaknight is over call them for a ride. They'll only pick you up personally so it beats having to wait for a taxi. Just tell them where you are.

Its another $12 (before tip) for the trip back to the hotel

Water is free at usc events. But you can get camelbacks at any sports/outdoor store like sportcheck or Canadian tire (Canadian tire should have cheaper ones than sportcheck)

Everybody's different there really is no "standard", for me personally a couple (2 or 3) is fine for a smaller event like say a club show or these new era blueprint "raves" but in a festival setting (long extended hours like the real raves used to be) it's pretty easy to get 2 or 3x deeper then that by the end of the night

Reality is that when it's getting late in the night energy running low with more headliners still to come your not gonna just tone it down.. Now this is where it starts getting sketchy, people who don't know their body/limits or are just inexperienced in general end up chasing that high all night and this is the result

It's a shame that such a small percentage of people can ruin it for the rest of us cause with the increasingly more common negative publicity the future of the scene isn't looking too bright
