anyone have a rough cost of what it normally cost to get the jams wrapped? i was quoted something ridiculous on top of a full wrap to get the jams done.. just want to see if they are serious or they just don't want to do the jams so they quote me something ridiculous to dissuade me from getting the jams done also.
i'm still only contemplating. at the end of the day i'll most likely just have have it wrapped in xpel slteath for paint protection, but still interested in finding out the ball park figure
You probably got quoted something ridiculous because you are asking them to triple their workload.
They would have to remove the door strikers and latches, weather stripping and trim pieces. Then they would have to try and apply vinyl to a very intricate surface while trying to avoid creases and/or overlap.
If the door jams bother you that much, get it dipped instead.
