It doesn't look to be perfectly round? But unless you've never seen mythbusters, yes an explosion will be even and round. Pretty much every crater with a vertical impact is round.

Weird alien shit always seem to happen in that part of the world perhaps becuase they don't feel the need to explain themselves to the rest of the world lol.

For all we know "strange alien shit" happens all the time in the west and is quickly cover with a story that easier for ppl to accept and not raise more questions
