Very interesting. Anyone gonna try this service?
Wonder what kind of supercar inventory they have to drive.

Drive like the rich and famous for cheap (sort of) with this B.C. supercar buffet (http://www.theprovince.com/cars/Drive+like+rich+famous+cheap+sort+with+this+superc ar+buffet/10079898/story.html)

as long as you follow Boecker’s steady pace you could have a good taste of what the cars have to offer while staying well within the right side of the legal limits.

How are you going to push the limits of a GTR while staying below 80km/h?

Sounds like a load of crap. My 4100lb FX can take every one of those corners at 90km/h and not skip a beat.

No because it sounds like they have a car in front and behind to monitor you. Better to save your money and next time your in vegas drive the super cars around the track. At least you get the feel for the car.

Yeah, I assume that means you never exceed the limit, which in those vehicles makes it more like a leisurely stroll compared to a "breath taking experience".

I did the exotic raceway experience in Vegas, it was out of this world.

Never understood the idea behind renting exotics. I'm not rich, so why would I pretend to be? As VR6GTI stated I rather go to Vegas and drive one on the track.

HOW FAST CAN I DRIVE?

As your experience will take place on public roads, you will drive as you would every day on the street; safely with the flow of traffic. Our goal is to let you enjoy the exotic cars, but in a safe environment. As such, speed limits and all other local laws must be followed. It is the responsibility of each driver to pay attention to posted speed limits and avoid any violation tickets. Excessive speeding (40 km/h over the speed limit) and other reckless driving will not be tolerated by Scenic Rush and may result in the termination of the Experience.

I think it's more of a "look at me, I'm in a ferrari" vs. the driving experience one in vegas.

and the transmissions on the 430, gallardo and r8... they aren't much fun driving around slowly.

surprised non of those rich asian kids opening the shops/clubs have tried this.

Formula 1 Driving Experience, Drive a Formula 1 Racing Car (http://www.racing-school.co.uk/driving/formula1.asp)

Not trying to be rude or anything but exotic cars are classified as "Passenger Vehicle" rather than "Competition Vehicle"

I have never had Indy nor Exotic Raceway experience, but from what I heard from people who have done both, driving exotic cars are out right yawn inducing once you drive an Indy car. (or F1 and other competition vehicles for that sense)

What they said about the difference was mainly G-Force.
Passenger vehicles can only pull 1G max, whereas those competition vehicles can pull 3-5Gs.
Apparently it is quite scary if you have never done it. The braking G is so strong that it feels you're gonna get your head pulled out.

Anyways, you should think about it if you have a chance.

Truthfully, I'd rather rent one for the day than to spend 200k+ for these cars. Not saying they're not great cars, just rather spend my hard earn cash on other things. Like a LS1 swap. :hotbaby:

as others have mentioned, save your money, go to Vegas, do Exotics Racing, money well spent. done.

Borrrrring.

This sounds like a service for chumps that want to show off. I'd rather put that money into something that won't disappear after a day. $500 is better spent on...y'know...your actual car.

If you're in it to brag to your friends that you've driven an exotic then you are doing it wrong! If you're in it for the thrill of what a high performance car can really do vs. a regular car, then you're doing it right.

Ive driven a Pagani so many times before and it was crazy!....
and the best part is i can pause it and go to the washroom to pee from too much excitement then unpause it and im back driving. :troll:

Don't understand the joy of it when its not your own car.

Sure its cool for first few minutes, but thats about it.

In contrast though, when I was a lot guy for lambo vancouver / weissach a few years back, getting paid to drive them around was the better deal.

Verdict: go get a lot guy job from them.

I got to sit in a Pagani Huayra (bare CF version ) last year. They let me start it up and give it a little gas to hear the noise. Couldn't drive it since we were on grass but STILL, I almost jizzed in my pants just listening to that engine note.

We're car guys in here. I'm sure we can find better ways of driving a supercar that don't involve $500.

See for me, driving a couple of those cars are bucket list items. While driving them balls out on a track would be fantastic, i can think of a lot shittier days than driving super cars up the Sea to Sky, even at the speed limit or slightly above... As for $500 for 2 hours? Honestly? They're fucking expensive cars...

they also have something similar in vegas that's not around the tracks, like you do a mini trip to the canyons.

having the option to drive spiritedly down S2S with a nice view, I can see why it appeals to a lot of people. Can't break speed limit, no problem just keep downshifting to 2nd gear and repeat for each corner :troll:

Obviously for car guys flying down to do the exotic racing is better

Maybe we're not the right clientele, but it's a pretty cool service (that I would never do). There are people out there who would just enjoy the experience of being in and driving cars that they would never otherwise drive. I don't think they're trying to show off.. it's two hours, unless all your friends happen to be on the S2S at the exact same time...

Lets see how many people will be paying $500 to drive an exotic car once the rain returns.

Website says they postpone when it's raining and only operate from april to october or something.

Give them a chance... they have to post that stuff on their website for legal reasons. Even the supercar road driving experience in Las Vegas says they obey road signs, but during the actual drive the pace car is going nearly double the limit at times.

That said, Sea2Sky is just about the worst place to do something like this with traffic and policing :p

Its kind of ridiculous you say that. It has nothing to do with pretending to be rich. Some people want to drive these cars. Some people aren't going to vegas. this is an option for them. If I was a tourist and had never been down the sea to sky this would be huge on my list of things to do. It has nothing to do with "posing" and everything to do with driving a nice road in an awesome car. I have fun driving the speed limit every day in my M3. You don't need to rip it to enjoy the drive, it just makes it better. That said, I'd rather spend the $500 on a track day/hotel at the ridge, but again, I've driven the sea to sky a few hundred times so thats why.
*fuck after reading this I really want to do it, but again, I should spend the money on MY car.
