MX-5 = Not enough POWER, shitty 1/4 mile too. Same goes for Lotus Elise.

New cars only that were available at the time of the test. The Miata will show up next year.

how important is AC on a track-oriented car?

The Z/28 model retains only one speaker for the seat belt chime, the rear quarter glass has been thinned, rear seats have been thinned, and most of the sound deadening has been removed in an effort to reduce weight inside of the vehicle.

Think Integra type-R. A/C was an option but for the true enthusiasts weight will not kill their vibe.

World's Greatest Drag Race 4! (http://youtu.be/KQ9NVz_LKj8)
ok there are some problems in this video.

First, GT-R didn't win. Second, why on earth did they put VW Golf and Ford Fiesta? Let them compete with Civics and Corollas.

I am surprised the GT-R even ranked so high in the driver's car considering how heavy it is and all the stuff you read about how it's all computerized.

I think you mis-understood the drag race. The cars were used in the greatest drivers car so they just want to put them together and see. If you looked at the previous races there were always slower cars in the pack.

Absolutely loving the new Z/28. Every time I see a video on it I just fall in love even more.

There's nothing wrong with computers. If you're against technology, just get a 1960s light-weight British sportscar.

If you look at F1 machines, they're equipped state of the art computers and ridiculously high tech electronic devices.

I like how GT-R and 911 left all the other cars in the dust right off the bat.

Not anti-tech, just when I think of the term 'driver's car', it's less to do with raw numbers and more to do with driving feel, dynamics and feeling connected to the car. Not aspects I seem to hear much about regarding the GT-R.

i swear Nissan makes a change to the GT-R every year so it can continue to participate in Motor Trend's Best Driver's car article.

Chevy paying "under the table" for favorable review. It's nothing new in the automative world journalism. Automative politics at its best.

I'm sorry I would bet my life savings if you ask any reputable car enthusiast who knows there car stuff if a Chevy was better then a 911 Turbo S, more than 95% or higher would pick the Porsche. As much as I like the ZR1 Corvettes, even they would fall short against the Porsche and that's Chevy's Flagship car.

The list should be:
1.Porsche 911
2.Nissan GTR
3.BMW M4/i8

^ Everything else below the line

The new Z/28 is getting accolades from a lot of auto journalists so it's likely that the car is actually quite good and a true drivers car with it's manual gearbox, raw dog chassis and minimal accessories. Of course the 911 Turbo S should have won but it's two hundred fucking grand!!

Don't get me wrong, I love Porsche as much as the guy P-car lover but the price difference between the two and the creature comforts that the new 911 Turbo S offers takes away from the "drivers car" awards IMO. But who knows, maybe you're right and Chevy greased the writers for a win

I guess the Z/28 won because it's the most 'car' out of the bunch?

By car I mean it's all engineering without luxury gimmicky shit. This car would be a horrible daily driver. 305s in the front :fuckthatshit:

I'm going to use a lame comparison but this could be GM's version of Ferrari hypercars but with different principles in mind I think?

I guess people can't get passed the Camaro shell but the performance numbers don't lie.

Shrug, modern cars are pretty much all for bragging rights. How many people actually push their car beyond 5/10s of what they're capable of?
