From what I read, the next-gen A6/A7/A8 will be based on this concept.

And, of course, the new A9 (if it comes out).

The depicted concept car is built on the same platform as the A6/A7/A8.

Yeah i googled it afterwards and learned this, that totally sucks that its not coming here, I have always been a fan of the Golf R model's. I read however that the smaller versions are going to be released here.

The Golf R wagon would probably be priced out of my budget for a DD but a GTI Wagon would not. I can't imagine that it'd be that hard to put one of those together and I'd have to guess that there'd be a market for that - basically a stretched GTI.
