I've been playing on and off for 3 years it kills time at work, basically you build springfield and get characters, buildings, go to other peoples springfields..

lol i respect that. i used to play simpsons but clash is a team game and more competitive. simpson didnt have much purpose for me clash has ranks, different leagues you can go on 50v50 matches

I've long since stopped spending the time to make my town look nice... but I complete all the quests and get all the buildings and characters.

I cheated a long time ago, and still have over 800,000 donuts. I buy all the premium characters, buildings, and decorations without batting an eye. :fullofwin:

This was when the game was only a few months old... so no idea whether the hack is still possible or not.

Back then, I was using an iPhone, and I think the hack was basically downloading a modified game file that was tweaked so that anything you tapped gave crazy amounts of money and XP.

After collecting the loot, just swapped the original game file back in.

I'm pretty sure a LOT of people out there have done this, but it doesn't seem like EA cares. It's been over two years, and they never tried identifying or banning accounts that have a ridiculous number of donuts.

I've read of other people using modified game files to get limited time items that are no longer available as well.

More of a glitch.. less of a scam

You will need:
Greyhounds
Itchy and Scratchy card

Steps to reproduce:
Start a greyhound race
Immediately go to a Kwik-E-Mart and buy a scratch card
Scratch the card and time it so that the race finishes around the time you have finished revealing the symbols. This means that behind the scratch card you will have the dialog box with the race result.
Quickly click the okay to finish the card. You should instantly be presented with a brand new card.
At this point, if it has worked, your donuts should say -1
Scratch this card and finish it, you will then see the race result dialog which you can dismiss (and congrats if you also won the race at the same time, though that is not part of the bug)
Now try to buy any premium item. You should be able to place it, putting your donut count further into the negative.
Once you are done buying, close the game and reopen to reset your donut counter back to 1. The items you bought should still remain.

TL;DR version
Have only 1 donut left
Start greyhound race
Buy scratch card
Reveal all symbols around same time race finishes (So, scratch the ticket, don't hit Okay, wait for the new ticket to appear.)
Finish scratch card
New extra card appears, scratch it, and donuts should be at -1
Finish card, dismiss race
Mmmmm negative donuts

Yeah, it's definitely at least partly true... but for me, even with over $32000 of hacked donuts, I'm too cheap to just use them to rush through all the quests. :lol

Like for the winter stuff right now, I am still signing in multiple times a day to tap the elves and complete the quests the proper way.

I don't have enough cash though, with some of those new items costing like $10M.

I don't understand how some people have 20k gifts and be finished with the events collectibles and earning donuts. The daily tasks only give a bonus of 100 gifts. Your elves only produce so much gifts every 4 hours and everyone gets the same number of elves. Sure, people may have more unlocked characters, but that's only 2 or 4 gifts every 4 hours. I play daily and only have 10k

yea, but you get THREE presents for visiting one neighbor and your neighbors can only drop so many feds in your town cause it caps out.

I started 1 day late and have about 13300 presents right now. I also don't have the maximum amount of neighbours possible, and only 3 premium characters.

Simple answer... they spent the donuts to get the Winter 2014 prizes.

You know the bottom left icon where it shows the Winter 2014 Part 1 Prizes?

Basically if you pay donuts to get them, you don't actually just get the prizes, but you get the number of gifts required to unlock them.

So if you spend a few hundred donuts to buy all the prizes, you'll instantly have 14000 gifts.

No, not at all... you just won't be able to get some of the premium items, but the gameplay itself is no different.

I've spent about $50 in itunes cards over 3 years but you really don't have to spend anything, everytime you level up you get donuts, if you clean springfield homer finds a few donuts and they give them away on special days or if you do certain tasks
