lol they need to make up their mind
they used to call it "SRT Viper" for 2012 to 2014, but for 2015, they will be calling it "Dodge Viper SRT"

Now Mazda should bring back Miata, instead of MX-5.

Does it really make a difference?

Like this change to "RAM". Its a fucking Dodge Ram, the same way its a Ford F-150, or a Chevy Silverado, or a GMC Sierra.

I have no idea why Daimler feels the need to try and differentiate all their models into individual brands.

The Dodge & Chrysler brands have been riddled with brand identity issues for a long time now. Your post being a good example since they haven't been associated with Daimler since '07.

Probably why they're doing the whole Dodge Bros. commercial campaign

I knew (but forgot) the two split and daimler is now a part of Tata.

What I totally did not know was that it was Fiat the purchased chrysler/dodge, not the other way round.

Dear Diary,

Today I learned something new. :toot:

You got it wrong again. The Daimler that split from Chrysler is "Daimler AG". Basically the "Parent" of Mercedes-Benz. The Daimler you're talking is British, which in theory is basically Jaguar.

Edit: skyxx beat me to it.

Now you've found the fun and frustrating part of the auto industry...

There are 2 Daimlers, or were. :concentrate:

Daimler AG (German) which used to be the controlling half of DaimlerChrysler, owned about 5% of Tata until 2007 (by coincidence).

The British company called Daimler Motor Company Limited was bought by Jaguar in 1960 and then floated around Britain for a bit until being gobbled up by Ford. Tata acquired Jaguar Land Rover (and Daimler) from Ford.
