Christmas came early, 2:06am on the 20th, 10lbs 2oz and 6 weeks early to be precise. We have been spending the holidays in the NICU, as my son learned to breath on his own and hs body learned to produce insulin on his own because his mother has type 1 diabetes. Santa came last night and provided us with his name, Oliver, and removed his umbilical IV so we got to hold him for the first time finally. This wasn't the Christmas we planned but it was definately life changing.
