long story short, I'm moving to Hong Kong at the EOM. BB sales did not tell me the monthly payment warranty coverage is ONLY available in Canada. Monthly payments is on my CC which i'm canceling along with my bank account. I will come back to Vancouver from time to time (planning to buy an apartment). I will cancel the CC and what will/can best buy do? Can this affect me in anyway?
Thank You for your inputs guys!

Extended warranties are already a bad choice, but now they found a way make people pay a subscription for it. You can refund it if you're within 30 days. Otherwise, you're SOL. How much is the warranty worth? It may not be worthwhile for them to send it to collections if you cancel your cc.

I was suckered into this 'Product Exchange Plan' when a friend did my upgrade a few years ago. I had a faulty phone replaced with them, and then one night I lost my wallet and had to get new credit cards.
Months later, I go into store to exchange my iPhone 5 for an iPhone 5s and I find out that they cancelled my benefits due to non-payment on the old credit card; of course, I didn't bother continuing the service.
What I was told is that they will seek payment for three months after the first non-payment and then cancel the PEP. I haven't heard from collections at all

The Exchange Plan is probably the best warranty for consumer ever.
Any little issue even software (except liquid and physical damage) they exchange for brand new phone over the counter and you can choose any other phone even on different carriers. For example usually Fido get shit end of stick for phones.
I have it on 2 of my phones and used more than 3 times each phone.
My most recent change was a 5s to a 64gb for $10 difference.
As for cancellation, just cancel or change your credit card number. You just void the warranty.

Cell phones have taught me it's easy to rip people off if you split the money into fairly small chunks and give them some shiny crap.

Depending on what surface pro you have the monthly payment is usually 18.99 or lump sum 455..... how is it 600!?!?
and that plan covers accidental damage 2 times no deductible.
and 3 years worth of total bit defender anti virus.

regardless of how bad/useless extended warranty is
OP signed contract/bought it.
so you move to HK, not BB's fault, weasel your ass out of it by cancelling CC...

Methinks it could still fuck your credit, especially if you plan to come back.

$455 to protect something worth $800? What fucking idiot would buy that?

That's still an additional 30% just for a fucking warranty. You're better off buying it with the right kind of CC and getting your warranty doubled for free.

Hmm You should've bought the MS extended warranty instead. No hassle 3 years total including accidental damage for around $250
