Am I missing something?

For Android, it says "Open WhatsApp - Menu - WhatsApp Web", but I just downloaded the latest APK and I don't find that option anywhere.

I'm using version 2.11.491

Force close the whatsapp app, reopen it and press menu or the 3 dots, the option should appear.

For some users, myself included, I uninstalled whatsapp, downloaded the client at WhatsApp for Android (http://www.whatsapp.com/android/).. once finish installing, update through PlayStore and you'll see Menu > web chat.

lol, your boss can just talk to the IT guy and he'll see all the sites you've been surfing in the servers.

IT guys can track a lot of stuff even when you are using private mode in IE/firefox/chrome
as long as your using there internet it can be tracked.

wow with web AirDroid and web Whatsapp really ups the value of my cheapo samsung chromebook... in terms of continuity or integration between chrome, chromeOS, chromebook +android its pretty decent for the money. You can get a cheapass phone like an old LG optimus 1 and change it from android 2.2 to 4.1 with cynogenmod and buy a cheap used samsung chromebook for like $150... with evernote + some apk tricks and you can have skype + office suite for productivity... its not bad.

For business though I use PC, and BBM on blackberry + blackberry blend... which is the same thing but overall costs way more.

I doubt it. The issue is with iOS restrictions and not any engineering on Whatsapp's end.

One of the things I miss most after switching to iPhone from Android was MightyText which I assume works under the same premise as Whatsapp's web interface.

apple products tend to feel a lot more premium than everything else, android needs to get that in order first imo
