What?s That Noise | WrenchPatrol (http://www.wrenchpatrol.com/Whats_That_Noise?service=6)
$102 + $25 (plus tax?), just to diagnose and not necessarily repair the problem.
vs. A lot of reputable shops in Rmd that can sort it out but it'll cost you a tow to get it there. Got any friends that want to give you one of their BCAA tows?
how about buying a tub of chicken for RS to come over and hear your car

i buy you a tub of chicken if you can bring over jumper cables. I assume my battery is dead since the reading lamp won't turn on and that my headlights were not in the off position:failed:

^You were going to pay someone a hundred dollars to come and diagnose something you already knew??
Unless you live in the middle of a field, call a friend over or something.

I'm confident another RS member would be willing to give you a jump... but you don't have a friend/family member with a cables?

RS is very helpful with tech advice - especially when you post the make/model/problem.

I am an acquaintance of Iain Rogers, one of the owners of Wrench Patrol. I met Iain during the Olympics through my best friend from Ontario whom was visiting during that time, so I've had many a beers and candid conversations with him. I can vouch that Iain is genuine and an honest person, very likable, but I have yet to use his services. If I have any problems, I wouldn't hesitate to call him up to possibly work on my car. I also like to support my friend's business as much as I can too, but that's my 2 cents.
