Wow I didn't know so many people kept receipts from 13+ years ago! Wouldn't the thermal ink be all faded? The oldest receipt I would have is at max 3 years.

You don't need a receipt if you have 1 claim. More than 1, you need to provide proof of purchase.
When I came back from Christmas holidays, I received the cheque in the mail. Easy $20.
