So I need a specific shape CNCed out of wood/plywood. Anyone have a place to recommend?

Basically I'd like to build a big ass light fixture for photography.

You're looking for someone with a lathe. With plywood you'll want someone with a band saw

CNC bandsaw for a 2d contour on plywood? That would be interesting.

If it's less than 4'x8' I know of a few home shops with Cnc router.

When I think of CNC I think of computer controlled routers... For etching designs, not really cutting out "big ass" lighting fixtures.

I could be wrong, but if I was looking for what Ronin said he is, I'd look for a lathe or a bandsaw.

Then again, I may also be confused what he's referring to as a lighting fixture.. In the context of photography I assumed he was talking about a lighting stand of some sort.
