I used this hot sauce in Japan since it cost 100yen (~$1.00) and is decently palatable. Certainly hotter than all the basic hot sauces out there.
Unfortunately all I can find here is Louisiana Original (the mild cayenne version). Online the cheapest I found is $12 a bottle shipped.
Anybody seen it locally? Sad that an American made sauce was easier (and cheaper!) to find in Japan lol...

Grace brand Scotch Bonnet hot sauce is pretty good too if you wanted something a little different. I get that at superstore.

Spicy?
Been using this lately, not among the best in terms of flavor, but definitely one of the spiciest on this planet.

They put that on all their products and it's so untrue haha. Even with the Habanero version I use 4-10 drops on a plate of pasta.
Personally I don't like hot sauces altering the flavour of my food, I just enjoy the heat. Lousiana Habanero has little flavour besides vinegar and heat, so it goes great on anything that already has it's own balanced flavour but could use a tart contrast.

If you want something thats similar heat, but a little better/sweeter flavour, the blairs after death with liquid fire is my favourite.

I can eat habenero/scotch bonnet on a daily basis in terms of spice and flavor :)

Picked up two bottles of Lousiana Habanero at Choices in New West, they have one left (maybe more stock in back). Priced $2.39 each.
Tasting it again I'm reminded that I enjoy the heat and not the flavour. Spicier than Sriracha/Tobasco, but milder than most of the real hot sauces out there. Heavy on the salt and vinegar, and adds a pungent aroma that ruins the smell of your food.
Still, it's a decent hot sauce, doesn't alter the flavour of your food too much while adding lots of heat, and it's much cheaper than other competitors.

Where do you buy your Habanero and Scotch Bonnet? Fresh or Dried?

I get mine dried from Fresh is best salsa co on broadway, or sometimes from apple farm market fresh, but only in summer. Also I always have a jar of pickled habaneros at home from safeway lying around. I also have a scorpion pepper plant growing at home.:toot:

If its 1.5L I'm quite sure it's the Louisiana Original, no tHabanero. Thanks though.
