Just wanted introduce myself. I moved to Vancouver from the okanagan a few months ago and ive just been lurking for a while. Unfortunately i now live in an apartment so without any garage space i cannot have my car with me so it is still sitting in Kelowna.
also curious how much of a problem people are having with getting vi's? its getting pretty bad in the okanagan and franky im getting pretty afraid to drive my car on the streets
Anyways its an evo1, here is Molly...

If you bring it to a Thursday meet, expect a vi after a fist fight and a rev battle

with a car like this, you are asking for VI at least twice a week. I believe the exhaust will be loud as hell, very likely you will get a Honda Fit as daily driver and this as a show car.

Unfortunate but true.
That evo is pretty cool, but getting pulled over here in Metro vancouver and getting a VI issued will most likely be a daily occurance if you drive it regularly.
you and berz know each other?

i think it's possible to be able to drive that here without getting in trouble. you just have to be super super cautious though. basically, the more noticable your car is, the less noticable your driving has to be. the biggest 3 things that would get the attention of cops would probably be if you rub anywhere on your fender, hid's in reflectors, and loud exhaust. i think the rest of the car would be okay for cops.

I don't know what's so VI worthy about his car.
As long as he doesn't have an obnoxious exhaust, a lot of the other stuff could be forgiven.
Sure it stands out like a sore thumb, but having a bright paint job, doesn't make it VI worthy.
IMO It's not at all low to the ground, has no window tints, and if he runs a quiet-ish exhaust, and a front plate, then there really shouldn't be any problems.
@OP just keep the headlights and tailights in stock form, AKA no tinted tails, and no HID's crammed into your halogen headlights, put your front plate back on, and don't drive like an idiot. You do those three things and you won't have that much of a problem.
DISCLAIMER; You still might get fucked, cause if you get unlucky and a cop wants to find something wrong, I can see 200 things that would fuck you, but it's not things a cop would traditionally stop people for, so as long as you drive like a normal person it shouldn't happen. BUT you could get unlucky so you are taking a risk either way.

Does it have a full cage? Do you drive with a helmet on? Seems kinda sketch. I'd imagine that being the biggest ammo for a VI.

^^^ This right here. I daily drove a fully caged Audi rally car without problems for years because I knew how to drive it quietly, had stock lights front and rear, kept the rally lights covered and didn't drive like an idiot.

Full cage, in my experience, typically won't be a problem cop/police wise. Unsafe on the street, yeah probably. Unsafe in an accident if you're not wearing a helmet, most definitely. The reason for getting a VI, unlikely.
