Does anyone know if Pick and pull is closing down or just replacing every vehicle in the lot? i went there on the weekend and there was literally like 12 cars in total.

Yes, they are closing down most of the locations. I went 2 weeks ago on the last day, it was half price on parts

Yes, they are all closing down, both Ricemond and Slurrey location on the 10th of April.
Schnitzer steel wasn't seeing any profit at all, in fact they were losing money from the whole operation the entire time.

The price of scrap taking another dump only made things worse.
It's too bad cause they had a lot of newer cars.

there still a few auto wreckers there, but not pick and pull.
if you want pick and pull you will have to drive to Chilliwack.

Bad news. I've picked up many accessories and replacement parts for my older car. I've saved a ton of money.

Bring back Ralphs!
Ralphs was run by a bunch of dickholes, this place was professional.

I uno about you guys but I found it was a cool place to hang out to see some wrecked cars.
My friends and I went last summer to find one switch ended up having a pretty good time finding old cars like mazda 929, sera

Same, I remember when I was younger with my dad in Ralph's. Just imagining all the scenarios on how everything happened. Good times :tears:

Never had any issues with the old Ralph's guys. However, i did have an issue with the cover fee at Pick n Pull. Needless to say I turned around and went home when I was informed of their new policy, lol. The cashiers were a bit condescending too iirc. Took my business elsewhere just to save $1 lulz

it doesnt make sense to shut down richmond and surrey instead of the kelowna one.. but regardless, it will be missed. Loved going to that place.. Its like a candy store for adults.

Too much competition down here, probably, especially when you're in a location that's surrounded by other wreckers. That's the one advantage Pick-A-Part has being in Chilliwack, there aren't a dozen other wreckers within 5 minutes.

You can still save a ton on your car insurance by switching to Geico! :troll:

I didn't mind the admission fee. What I really liked about pick n pull was the set price for parts. When dealing with other wreckers, they like to make up a price as they go which is frustrating.

To the people who preferred Ralph's over pick and pull is on crack!
Ralph's overcharge and make up bullshit price VS pick and pull fixed pricing
That admission fee is justified if you dont go in there blind
ROW52 is an app for your phone that will allow you to check if the car you are looking for is there.
I will miss this place forsure

Pick and pull is the best autowrecking in my opinion. damn those guys give 50% off every 3months or so like damn. and membership is free, on some parts
you can actually negotiate the price. ive done it once. saved me 10$ hahaha

I really liked the Surrey location because they were a lot easier to deal with. I negotiated price all the time when the part wasnt 100% and required some work on my part. I bet a lot of you guys that went their didn't know they had a bucket of key fobs at the front desk you could pick through and it was only 4 bucks each.

Pick N Pull exists all over the US. Go drive down to Arlington if you want one that's closer (somewhat) than Kelowna.
Might have been good here in Vancouver... but everywhere else, the prices are insane compared to other wreckers. I never had a problem with other wreckers, but I know a TON of people that work at them therefore I'm never getting screwed for pricing.
If you aren't in the know... get a price before you waste time pulling parts. Then you don't have to haggle prices afterwards. Pick-a-Part isn't bad for pricing but you don't get the great selection depending on what you're looking for.
Empire still exists, only Ralphs left I believe. Their website is fooked at the moment. I wouldn't be surprised if another wrecker, possibly Ralphs again, re-opens at the Pick n Pull locations. Not sure who holds the title on the land.. PnP might have just been leasing it from Ralphs..?

Sorry perhaps we need to do a Cole's Notes version:
Pick N Pull in Lower Mainland all closed... permanently. As of April 12th. Everywhere else still open (Kelowna, WA state, all across US.. still open. You'll still get emails)

Yeah, the Kelowna one is good. Had a couple of friends find parts for a Mitsubishi Endaveur and a MR2 at one point. Those are rare cars.
