I am looking for the best places around vancouver and its mountains that are not too far to view the night sky. Any suggestions? The places I go are usually loud and end up being crowded. Where can I park my car going up cypress where I won't be bothered by too many people and light pollution? Thanks!

usually porteau cove (about halfway between squamish and west van) or mcdonald park in abbotsford (exit 104 - no 3 rd.).

both are great spots. i prefer mcdonald park as it's a nice place to be isolated. (gates get locked though at a certain time.)
