I need a new internet provider that isn't shaw or telus.
I've heard of teksavvy, but I dont think my house is wired for DSL (i had telus once and I couldnt get a stable internet speed, something was wrong witht he copper in my home)
I need something with at least 5mbps upload and is affordable.
I know there are lots out there, just can't think of any.

Teksavvy is a reseller of Shaw as well.
In BC, the main providers are Shaw and Telus, the rest are all resellers of their service. There's no escaping.
Off the top of my head
-Distributel
-CIK Telecom
-Teksavvy
-Primus

If you live in a tower or multi-unit dwelling that supports it, there's Novus and UrbanFibre (the latter offering 1Gbps down/up).

^I WISH I LIVED IN A FUCKING CONDO. and yes it's 50 dollars and my brothers on urbanfibre and its fucking 3423420342j342-4023342 RETARD FAST.
Nah, I live in a poverty basement suite. Hence why I said DSL is a nogo.
I want to stream on twitch again, but I dont remember if my old shaw plan had 25mb 5 up, it seems like that throttle it to 2.5 but I'm unsure if thats enough for twitch.
I really want to start streaming again but shaw is fuckign expensive and I know resellers are half the price.

resellers arent half the price, it's MAYBE a third off, and from most of the reviews i've read online, i'll keep shaw and pay the extra $20 a month to avoid the head aches.

not if u call back and bitch
the telus guy basically straight up told me every 6 months when my "complaint" expires, just call back and complain again. and they'll just keep me at the 50 bux a month for 50down.

I don't care about the downspeed, its the upspeed.

i'm gonna be looking for a new place to rent, and 1gbps connection is up there on my list
how do I go about finding one that has that service available? basically zero chance of urbanfibre support unless I find townhouses/highrises built within the last few years?

I just emailed Urbanfibre to see if they're in the unit I just bought but doubtful since it's an older unit.

I pay $67 taxes in for 25 from shaw. No contract and they gave me the $300 wireless modem they have. Although we signed up for a promotion a while back. Ended up canceling TV and only have internet now

I just switched to TekSavvy from Shaw because of Shaw's many price increase over the past year or 2. I was deciding between TekSavvy or LightSpeed and went with TekSavvy even though it cost more because the website looks more professional then LightSpeed LOL.
