Just found out about this. Looks pretty cool. From my understanding it basically brings PC gaming to the comfort of your TV. Looks pretty neat. $59 CAD seems pretty reasonable.

Looks interesting but I'd definitely want to try it out for a while before buying it

I was youtubing some pre release reviews, seems like it's a really different type of controller. Some seem to be okay with it, others hate it.

Guess we'll see when it comes out.

Not really... You could use a tiny PC to use in-house streaming. I think they have 'sticks' that can do it too, plugged directly into HDMI.. if not, it should happen soon

You going to be able t effectively stream high FPS games to your tv though?

Yup, 60 fps, not too laggy at all. It's obviously not perfect, but it's still better than consoles

You could also get the steam link if you don't have an extra PC. 60 bucks to stream games to your TV at 1080 60FPS doesn't seem bad.

"For customers who pre-order or have already pre-ordered the Steam Controller, Steam Link or Steam Machine at retail:
You will receive a key for free copies of Rocket League and Portal 2 when you complete and pick up your purchase."
