Read through previous bodyshop threads but wanted some fresh and more recent testimonials about people's experience at Korva. Planning to take my car there to repair damages to my front lip. Seeing that they are one of the top shops in Vancouver and deal with a huge volume of exotics, I have fear that my car wouldn't the detail services I wanted - JUST MY FEAR.

Looking for a shop that:
- Specializes in BMW
- Pays attention to detail (makes sure screws are not worn or replaced as new, makes sure that the car is carefully disassembled/assembled)
- Is able perfectly match colours.

Car is less than a week old and the front lip was damaged when it got towed.

Back Story:
- Property management assigned me the WRONG rental parking spot
- Original parking spot owner saw my car parked at his spot, calls strata to tow my car
- Car was 4 days old BMW 3 series
- Lip was damaged, car was towed on a dolly/all 4 wheels (thank God)
- Tears were shed, jimmies were rustled
- Now seeking a shop to make things right again

Any help would be appreciated :tears:

if you've been looking at all the autobody threads ,why are you not considering VIP autobody? the reviews on this shop has generally been positive here on RS.

Property management is going to only reimburse the cost of travel and towing...

Told me to go to ICBC to file a claim which i did and now they're taking care of it. Supposedly they would speak to the towing company that damaged my car to have the claim it against their insurance policy. If that falls through this would be considered to be a hit and run.

Least to say my jimmies were rustled to the max the entire week when this happened.

Ive personally seen fast track and VIP autobody's colour match and it is pretty much on par or even better than OEM

Legit question, how do you better OEM?

While the bumpers and the body are different materials, paint from factory can end up in slightly contrasted shades of paint. Plastic bumpers, metal body.

^actually, its because a lot of the time the bumpers are painted at different factories, then sent to the plant for reassembly.

I have no experience with these guys but they did some work on Turner Motorsports race car with some very positive results. I know its a race car and all, but when Turner himself vouches for a shop its a pretty high regard.

Korva won't take you if you have a ICBC claim (ICBC doesn't pay enough). Chances are also they have other higher value clients than a 3er.

However they are not certified as BMW's Certified Collision Repair Center.. #1 is though

No Korva (http://www.korvaworldclasscollision.com/)'s owners are Italian.. they have been around for a long time.. they tend to pick and choose their clients instead of the other way round.

I still think body shop really depends on the person who is doing the QA.

I only deal with fast track autobody, family have been going to them for 10 years or more, known the owners and painter since they were in arbor autobody. Its the only place i trust.

As someone said, they can paint match and blend like no other!

I have to disagree. I had a nasty accident (rear ended the person in front, 10k damage on mine) and i still made it to my service appointment 10 blocks away. Dealership recommended Korva, and ICBC said this place was approved, so my car was fixed there on the timeframe they provided. Customer service was great since I called every other day for updates and they were still friendly.

Buddy of mine works at No. 1 Collision. They are very used to particular customers. They work on BMW's all day long.

Can vouch for FastTrack, paint match was on point and they also repainted/blended all the rock chips on my hood for no extra cost.

No experience with Korva at all, other than great reviews I've read.
No. 1 Collision fucked me years ago with terrible paint work. Went to them due to their reputation and have regretted it ever since.

V.I.P. Auto Body has painted 2 of my cars. Paint match was excellent. Good turn around time. Would be hard for me to go elsewhere now.

got my z4 mineral white to Korva, passenger door got hit. call to make an appointment at beginning of july, bought the car in at aug 4th. took them 2 days to get it all fix. overall experience, 10/10. Color all match, both interior and exterior all clean. i believe they did a small exterior detail for the whole car.

on a side note, they only provide me with a invoice of what been repair. But no actual cost on the invoice at all.

Korva repainted our Porsche's rear bumper after a small hit and run. Perfect color match on platinum silver metallic. (ICBC claim)

They book quite far out though so if you need it fixed asap they may not be the right shop.

Got my MSport bumper painted Alpine white at VIP Autobody. Color match was 100%.

They had to used my old headlight washer covers because the new ones wouldn't fit for some reason, and you can't see ANY difference in the paint color and reflection.

Only body shop I would ever use is Don Beck collision in White Rock. They work on high end cars on a regular basis and know what they are doing.
