Hello everyone I'm looking for some help since I'm not the most mechanically incline person. My car is an 2007 BMW 328xi. I have an issue with my automatic transmission where the transmission malfunction warning came up and the vehicle will not move either in reverse and / or in forward gears. When the accelerator pedal is pressed engine speed only increases as if the transmission is in the Park or Neutral position. I called BMW and they said that I would have to replace to transmission, but I did some research where it says its possible the selector valve rod is broken which is a common issue and it seems cheaper to fix rather then buying and whole new transmission. So I'm looking for suggestions. Thanks for the time!
