Um, I've never even heard of this.
Is there any place that even makes it?
I would like to try.

It's usually part of Kaiseki, IIRC. Are there any traditional Kaiseki restaurants in town? If so, that's where you should look.
I will say that it's kind of a weird thing to go out of the way to find.. I mean it's just broth...

I've only tried it at Manzo and Koto in Richmond and I really liked the one at Koto. I think most japanese restaurants should have it

The one at Kiriri in Richmond is very good. Only draw back is that they don't always have it on the menu I believe.

koto has one? LOL!!! I'll order it just for kicks next time I'm there.
actually a lot of places have this, just most people don't know it, or don't care for soups.
it's totally not "JUST BROTH"!!! any super soup lover will disagree with that lol!
it's got this awesome taste, i can't describe it. Now I'm out to search for the best one in town. It doesn't look super hard to make either... maybe...
