Rumble Roller

Recently tried my friend's rumble roller and thought was quite effective.
Any of you guys use it here? Do you use 13 inch or full size? I think 13 inch might be sufficient for me but I may not be aware of additional stretches full sized one offers. Also which brand do you use? I found some are pretty expensive.

You can generally do all foam rolling using the 13" one.
I got mine from Fitness Depot for $30 - a generic one which is basically material of the rumble roller around a PVC pipe.
IMO no difference between getting a "brand" one such as the Rumble or Trigger Point and a no name one. Just avoid the soft foam ones (the ones you generally see at community centres) because they soften overtime.

I have the real rumble roller and wish I went with the grid instead.

What do you mean by grid? The real rumble roller is spiky one right? Still grasping the definitions here as they seem to vary person by person.

I use one 3 times a week, feels so good man :sweetjesus:
My gym has both sizes, but if I were to only get one, I'd get the full sized one.
Also make sure to get a black one, as it didn't take long at all for the blue one to be too soft for me.

Yeah rumble is the spiky one, grid is just a normal roller.

I have a Grid triggerpoint at home, and a regular foam roller (made of real foam!) at my cabin. There is a huge difference between the two. Maybe Santa will bring me a new triggerpoint so I can retire the foam.
I love my triggerpoint. I use a lacrosse ball for the glutes, but the roller does everything else.
I'm a 13" guy. You can take them with you if you're doing something out of town. Plus you don't need a lot of room to make them work.

I use the rumble roller, 13" size.
To me I like the small one as I can concentrate more in certain areas.
Only time I wish I had the full size is when I'm rolling my lower back.

Thanks a lot for responses. I'll do a bit more research and invest in one.

I have the long one, but I usually do one leg at at time, and then use lacrosse ball/balls for my back. If I were to get it again, I'd get either the 13" or a PVC pipe wrapped with a thin yoga mat glued onto it (cheap and effective)

Ah yeah, definitely get the BLUE one.
It's the softer of the two.

Use it to stretch and get the knots out of your quads, hamstrings and IT band

-Lats after heavy pull days

I use a grid and a rumble, both the generic ones from fitness depot.
Don't forget to add a lacrosse ball for the real precise spots, oh and some bands to floss with! That should cover most of your maintenance needs

I am a fan of the original travel roller. I have tried pretty much all of the rollers out there. I personally like the travel roller best.
