Started with this handsome 1999 Acura 1.6EL 5spd...was back in the heyday with folks like Hamsup, Kaostik, Levitron....all those users that have moved to something else.
The EL went through a few different mods....H&R springs to Eibach Prokit. All sorts of different rims as well...and of course, the mod of the time was clear corners and signals. Was definitely a solid car!

Minor mods such as the eibach prokit but who can forget the whole DIY blackout headlights mod? I wrote up a DIY back in 2003 which is still posted on clubrsx as a sticky.

This time, I didn't trade in the RDx...rather, arranged a lease takeover from someone off Craigslist. At Burrard Acura, doing the lease takeover paperwork, I arranged to snag yet another TSX...this time, an 08 but in auto. The TSX would not disappoint yet again with its smooth, comfy ride.

The TSX was barely sufficient for transporting a baby in a rear facing seat. I kept thinking...how do I retain the smooth suspension and luxury but in a bigger sedan.... .... .... YES! The 08 Acura TL!
The TSX was sold...however, the 08 TLs were running pretty scarce as it was the last model year... I settled on a 08 base / non navi auto...

The TL was exactly what I was looking for...amazing comfort...amazing interior space for front and rear passengers...LED rears, HIDs, XM radio....BUT...the lack of navi was killing me...the TL non navi dash looked terrible IMO so.... ....not even 5 months had passed, I transferred the lease and took over a lease on a 08 TL with Navi...( on a car this size, the back up cam is invaluable )

Then along came a friend who offered to sell me his 07 carbon grey TL navi for dirt cheap...it was an offer I could not refuse and saw it as a opportunity to end leasing and start owning....so...the WDP TL was transferred away to my tenant ( the TL is his 'dream car' so it was a win win ). I went ahead and purchased my friends 07 TL which had 25000 lower KM than the white one.

Being very content with this TL, I realized however...the finance rate I was paying was high ( utilized personal line of credit )...so I thought it over and realized that the 3G TL was probably my all-time favorite vehicle ...and with its design discontinuation and limited 'low mileage market availability'...I decided to find something quick before they were allllll gone and treat myself to the highest trim and go back to the sexiness of a 6speed MT...so off i went to Richmond Acura and traded in the 08 above and purchased the 08 TL-S at a much lower Acura finance rate....knowing that this will be my last 3G TL.

#6 2007 S2000. All around awesome car, it was difficult to go back to having no torque when you're used to cars that have plenty of it lol. What made up for it was just how direct and responsive it felt :) Yes this was *illegal's car and it's sad to see it ended up in some shitty used car lot in New West :(

My old Crapalier.. Friends gave it some sick mods with stuff I had left in the car when they found it unlocked... it's a shame you can't see the racing stripes, they would put any tron wrap or cracklines to shame. :lol

It was the 2.2 with 3 speed auto, I think it had a 10+ seconds 0-60, when it was new.. :lawl:

07 Sonata. Long Before even Genesis's and all these new Turbo Sonatas populated the kdm market. Hipster i know. Sold it due to lack of fun factor and beige interior. It sure did confuse a lot of people by wondering wtf kind of car it was.

Started with this handsome 1999 Acura 1.6EL 5spd...was back in the heyday with folks like Hamsup, Kaostik, Levitron....all those users that have moved to something else.
The EL went through a few different mods....H&R springs to Eibach Prokit. All sorts of different rims as well...and of course, the mod of the time was clear corners and signals. Was definitely a solid car!

Next stop...after 3 years, I set my sights on the newly announced RSX...and so I went ahead and leased a 02 premium 5spd. Absolutely loved the car...fun and sporty. Minor mods such as the eibach prokit but who can forget the whole DIY blackout headlights mod? I wrote up a DIY back in 2003 which is still posted on clubrsx as a sticky.

Next stop...2004 rolled around and I got uber excited with the newly announced TSX...it was sharp, sophisticated and very polished. Landing a job with a corporate culture, I decided to trade in the RSX for a 04 TSX 6spd...met my future wife while owning this car and to this day, this black beauty is still her all-time favorite. With standard HIDs, I would never do halogens again.

2006 rolled around and again, I got excited with the newly announced CSX...it wasn't so much the car but the technology...this was the first car I experienced with navi and 'compact flash' mp3 playback. This was a ill-thought out move on my part but alas, I traded the TSX for a 06 CSX tech 5spd. Tried some minor mods such as 17" SI wheels but the car was just not exciting to me...

Within a mere 6-8 months, I could not handle the economy feel of the CSX and decided to get rid of it and go back to the smoothness and luxury of another TSX. Went with a 2006 TSX 6spd in graphite pearl. Let me tell you, the 6spd TSX has got to be the smoothest shifting car I've ever driven.

2008 quickly came up and there was a little 'acura604' growing in my wife ...so I kinda figured that the TSX wouldn't do as a baby hauler. Went to Northshore Acura and traded the TSX for a 08 RDX tech.

The RDX was a great overall compact SUV but it also being my daily driver, the jarring rough suspension finally wore me out in less than 1 year...so, back to the dealership. This time, I didn't trade in the RDx...rather, arranged a lease takeover from someone off Craigslist. At Burrard Acura, doing the lease takeover paperwork, I arranged to snag yet another TSX...this time, an 08 but in auto. The TSX would not disappoint yet again with its smooth, comfy ride.

The TSX was barely sufficient for transporting a baby in a rear facing seat. I kept thinking...how do I retain the smooth suspension and luxury but in a bigger sedan.... .... .... YES! The 08 Acura TL!
The TSX was sold...however, the 08 TLs were running pretty scarce as it was the last model year... I settled on a 08 base / non navi auto...

The TL was exactly what I was looking for...amazing comfort...amazing interior space for front and rear passengers...LED rears, HIDs, XM radio....BUT...the lack of navi was killing me...the TL non navi dash looked terrible IMO so.... ....not even 5 months had passed, I transferred the lease and took over a lease on a 08 TL with Navi...( on a car this size, the back up cam is invaluable )

Then along came a friend who offered to sell me his 07 carbon grey TL navi for dirt cheap...it was an offer I could not refuse and saw it as a opportunity to end leasing and start owning....so...the WDP TL was transferred away to my tenant ( the TL is his 'dream car' so it was a win win ). I went ahead and purchased my friends 07 TL which had 25000 lower KM than the white one.

...now this is where it gets wierd...the TL above was a great car...but something swayed me back to a SUV and another ill-thought out move was made. Went to Carter Honda and traded the TL in for another 08 RDX. This time around I really wanted to like the RdX... I equipped it with all available OEM options from skirts to wheels to roof racks...

Being very content with this TL, I realized however...the finance rate I was paying was high ( utilized personal line of credit )...so I thought it over and realized that the 3G TL was probably my all-time favorite vehicle ...and with its design discontinuation and limited 'low mileage market availability'...I decided to find something quick before they were allllll gone and treat myself to the highest trim and go back to the sexiness of a 6speed MT...so off i went to Richmond Acura and traded in the 08 above and purchased the 08 TL-S at a much lower Acura finance rate....knowing that this will be my last 3G TL.

Thought I'd share the couple of cars I have owned.

My first car: 2008 Honda Civic DX.
This car my parents bought me so I am very grateful for that. Yes it was a DX so it had no AC nor keyless entry. It was also automatic lol. Thing is, I really enjoyed this car as I had it since I got my N in high school. I learned a lot about cars and car communities from it so it is definitely the car I would never forget about. It has been through many phases (in its first phase it was riced out with an ebay fart cannon and Konig wheels haha) but here are pics of it in it's final form. :fullofwin:

My second car: 2008.5 Mazdaspeed3
This car I chose and purchased myself (well I used the civic to trade-in... lol). I chose the speed3 as it has good power and value. I really did enjoy this car when I first got it because of the amount of power and this being my first manual car. Unfortunately, I only owned it for approximately 8 months as I finished school and wanted something a bit more. I regret not modifying it as it has so much potential for more power. I highly recommend this car to anyone who is looking for reliability, practicality, power, and value.

Apparently she's got a 2.9L bored up 2.8 with a hot cam in it...

and a R200 rear end with the original 4 speed box.


even with the old 2.4, she was a quick car. Light. barely over 1000kg.

only sketchy thing are the brakes. Makes you feel so alive driving one of these cars. much danger.

Mazda claims the problem was cause by the use of too much grease on the electrical contact switches during manufacturing. Over time, that can lead to the possibility of an electrical fire.

No crashes or injuries have been reported, and Mazda claims the problem doesn't affect the operation of the vehicle, but if you drive a 1990-to-1996 Mazda 323 and Protege, a 1993-to-1998 Mazda 626, a 1993-to-1995 Mazda 929, a 1993-to-1997 Mazda MX-6, a 1989-to-1998 Mazda MPV or a 1992-to-1993 Mazda MX-3, you should be on the look out for a recall notice in your mailbox.

82 320i Turbo. First car to mod. Saab fuel injection, way to big of a turbo, no IC, 79 pistons and crank to make it a true 2.0. Blew so many head gaskets :P Learnt to work on cars with this one.

1986 300E, got it for $800 with 46xxxkms on it. Owner thought it had a blow headgasket, turned out to be a $2 o-ring in the transmission. Got rearended by a drunk driver. ICBC paid $9500 for the car.

Apparently she's got a 2.9L bored up 2.8 with a hot cam in it...

and a R200 rear end with the original 4 speed box.


even with the old 2.4, she was a quick car. Light. barely over 1000kg.

IT runs great! I actually kept the R200 and swapped a 5 speed into it. Its pretty quick for what it is. After speaking with the person that built the engine and butt dyno were guessing it has somewhere between 180 - 200hp. Handling is actually quite good but I did buy pretty much the whole techno toy tuning catalog for this car and throw it in. I'll try to write a proper right up on it sometime. U should definitely get one if you get the chance. Hands down the most pure fun for a car i ever owned, and I had a miata before.
