Some have lots to be thankful for, others not so much...........but in either case, be thankful we live in such a wAnderful country.

I had a moment this morning when my youngest son said, "Dad, since it's Thanksgiving Day, I just want to say, thanks for being a good dad." Wow, that has never happened before. Asians don't get all touchy feely.......... I almost shed a tear. Almost..........

I replied with, "Yeah, I guess I could be one of those drunkard, deadbeat dads who beats their wife and kids."

None of my kids are drug addicts, or a useless member of our society. They are honest and kind kids. That's what I'm thankful for.

Anyway, happy thanksgiving day

Happy gobble gobble day! My roommate and I threw a Misfits Thanksgiving dinner for friends, coworkers and fellow students who couldn't make it home or to a loved one's place for the weekend. Big turn out, pot luck style dinner, and sooooo many left overs. Not that I'm complaining. Don't have to go grocery shopping for a couple weeks at this point. :lol

Top Tip, Use a cooler, like camping cooler + bag of ice. Frees up space in your fridge and brines real good. :)

So fill up half water as the brine calls for, then half ice. Check it every 12 ish hours for ice, if it's gone, it'll start warming up past 0 degrees C.

Or, get/borrow one of them powered coolers. I have a Mobilcool that runs on 12 volt DC or 110 AC. Put some Daiso gel packs in there if you realiy wanna chill your shit.
