The leading protagonist will be played be Daniel Wu, correct me if I am wrong, I think he's the first Chinese actor to be playing lead for an American TV series. Plot is set in the future where guns are banned, people from Badlands know only of martial art to survive, etc.

They've hired a team of top-notch martial art's choreographers from HK to design the fighting scenes, not to mention, it's produced by AMC, so the expectations are high.

Show premieres on Nov 15.

I'd like to see more asian men being represented in Hollywood without having to relate to martial arts...cliche over 9000
the Korean Americans are doing a decent job at that

i don't know, i would kind of enjoy this being a cliche kung fu movie. i actually enjoyed man in the ironfists because it was soooo tacky that you just look past it and enjoy the fight scenes.

Well, before we could evolve past stereotypical roles; such as, nerds and martial artists. Asians need to get more leading roles in Hollywood first. They aren't getting enough leading roles now. Until we break this barrier, there's no point of worrying about diversification yet.

I see Daniel Wu getting a leading role as a significant step in the right direction.

Overall, the show is pretty good
Some dumb things, some stereotypes, but overall for a show with an Asian lead, it's quite good
