I had high hopes for this project. In my eyes they absolutely butchered it. Atleast it's probably a blast to drive on the track.

Those fenders ruined it.

The local RB26 240z is way better in my opinion.

The only drawback are the over fenders. And really it's just the fronts. They just look out of place. Other than that, it's a pretty nice build all the way around. Highlight for me was seeing John from Hytech shaping out the header. He's like a celebrity to me. I wish they would have had him speak on the work he did.

Front fenders absolutely screwed it up. I just can't get over how people manage to have a taste to think slapping overfenders can improve the aesthetics of the car, especially when it already has beautiful lines to begin with.

OS Giken brought a beauty to SEMA, and managed to not screw it up. Just a beauty. They also managed to get 400HP under the hood, and yet enough tire to handle the job without the use of silly fenders.

More than most of us can afford pal.....Nostalgia tax.
Those examples above of the 240z are definitely nice and simple, pretty sure Sung wanted to do something above and beyond and I happen to think it's a pretty unique looking ride.

my dad's old Z racing in Macau
we've been toying with the idea of building one up since he regrets selling it so much

i think they're actually serving a purpose here. they wanted a big tire with a square stance and honestly this is one of the best ways to achieve it.

not defending him, but jay did say he was having trouble getting used to the fender mirrors...
The end product is cool, but not like SK did much and honestly he's much better off with the YOMYOMF network.

A Japanese classic.
-got a good laugh when Sung uses the analogy of a hot Japanese girl put on a diet of steak and chicken and doing squats in a gym to get a beautiful ass to describe the kit on his car. :lawl:
Sung has the best dry sense of humour out there...entire channel is classic :D

aaah, the memories. Good times.
Speaking of which I should shoot more photographs of vehicles. Haven't done so in a long time.

Wow, Leno just cuts off any and every car he goes near. LOL
I was gonna say the same thing... Jay cut off like 4 cars in that clip. Straight up just drifted into a lane causing them to brake. Yeah maybe the mirrors are tricky but that's just lazy.
From what I can tell from Jay Leno's videos, he does have quite a wide range of car knowledge, particularly older stuff, but he's a shitty driver, repeats himself constantly, and has cringe worthy dad humour.
That said, the cars he gets a hold of are extremely rare, so for that it's worth watching.
This one was just posted a few days ago. The Ford Shogun. 1 of 7 made. Didn't even know it existed. Pretty damn cool.
