game is out today! anyone getting it for the PC? I was just like meh its another COD. but considering the developer (Treyarch) had 3 years to make this game and reading this review it totally changed my mind. looks preety sick with all the extra game modes and such

i read that the game has decent features like deep offline storymode and 4 person coop.
not sure how i'd feel like all the high tech weapons though as i prefer the black ops 1 timelines

I have had every COD since Modern Warfare. I have really enjoyed them up until Black Ops I. Once that one hit I no longer enjoy the game. It lost its feel which really disappointed me.

I liked Ghosts, it felt like a step back to what COD was but added some wanted stuff. Now with Advanced Warfare I simply don't play anymore. The whole flying through the air crap is a joke. I didnt buy COD to play Halo.

I will probably buy BO3 but I dont expect to enjoy it as much as I used to.

the whole franchise went on a sharp decline on PC since MW2 when they didn't even have dedicated servers.

after the whole Batman Arkham Knight debacle on PC early this year I'm surprised another studio has managed to mess it up almost as bad

I've been a huge Call of Duty fan but I was totally turned off by Advance Warfare. People were double jumping all over the place. It just wasn't the COD i loved. BO3 brings the boots back to the ground. The limited use of the jetpack is the way to go. The 3 lane linear map design is classic COD.

just did the intro+tutorial mission. took like an hour lol. pretty sweet so far although my FPS did drop to like 15 in some parts. getting a steady 40-60 most of the time I would say on high everything settings.

being able to select between a variety of special skills and having to unlock everything with the points is pretty cool.

I've come to the point in my life where I realize any sort of competitive online gaming is just not for me anymore.

I've been playing BO3 and the wall running itself isnt to bad. It's the fact that there are areas where its CLEARLY made for wall running that I don't like. Titanfall did the wall running thing much better IMO, the surfaces in titanfall werent to obvious.

lol the new cod in a nutshell. you can now steal peoples souls with your hand and theres special powers you can get for single player. in multiplayer theres is 9 classes that each have a special weapon/super you can use so its balanced since everyone would be using a different class

this COD def has the most features and extra shit compared to the others

Im not really feeling the story although its pretty fun

I put a good 12 hours in this weekend, I tried a bit of everything...its my first COD in maybe 2 or 3 versions...I think I last had black ops 2 or MW3 last which ever came after.

Mind you I have a cast on my right hand, but it seems everything moves so fast now...or there is a lot happening all at once. The game is not bad, but I question why I bought it as I am just waiting to Tuesday when Fallout 4 comes out.

I purchased the Black Ops PS4 bundle last night, the update on the game took a while for a day old game. Installed that, redeemed Nuketown and I must say that I do like it. The different classes is pretty cool as you can personalize them with tokens per level up.

Mind you I've only played online, haven't tried campaign.

If your running and gunning you will die all the time. You have to be methodical when playing this game. Use your mini map to your advantage. See where your team is compared to where the enemy might be. The maps are a three lane linear design so predicting where the enemy team is gets easy.

For example if your team is holding 2 lanes you can almost be 100% sure the other team will start flanking on the 3rd lane on the map.

Also don't rush on MP. Use cover and slow your game down a bit. In the beginning I was rushing like a crazy mofo but than I slowed my game down and my KD is always 1.5 or higher.

The wall running is for noobies for sure. I have picked so many people off when they are doing that. Only use it when you know there are no enemies near. The only time I use it is when I know I need to get point A to B in a hurry.
